Be happy – A Startup Selling Lesson from the Trail

Be happy – A Startup Selling Lesson from the Trail

However things go in that race that you’re on as a Startup –

???? You hit the finish line or not.
???? You get to the checkpoints you wanted with fundraising.
???? You made the sales or growth or market share.

I think it’s critical to remember to #be_happy every moment along the way.

This lesson from the race (Lesson 10) is to be happy ???? and the first corollary for this lesson is that #comparison_is_the_thief_of_joy.

⏰I looked at my finishing times and at some of the data of where I came in at the end of the race – the official time was 24:39:40.

I went into the race, did all of my training, and every time I would talk about 23:59:59 because that was my goal for the race.

????I posted this time on my bathroom wall.

???? I wrote it down every single day in my morning journal.

????????‍???? All my training, coaching, and everything that I did was designed for me to break that barrier to hit that goal.

But I didn’t do it.

I just knew that the chances of me hitting my goal would be out of reach but I still felt happy because of what I was accomplishing.

Even though you don’t reach the goals that you’ve set for yourself, always remember to be happy because you did your part, and most importantly, you did your best.

Lesson from the trail.
