Quora Question: What are the most effective direct marketing strategies for a SaaS product?

(I usually stay close to home talking sales, but was “Asked to Answer” this question on Quora about marketing, so here goes…)

Live by the mantra “Add value, add value, add value.” Provide new perspectives on an industry challenge or problem. If you’re a new entrant to the industry (i.e. engineer tackling HR software), that’s all the more opportunity your have to be unique in your approach.

Three ideas:

1. White Papers
2. Webcasts
3. Industry Articles & blog posts
