I got off my a$$ and went to a live event last week hosted at the SaaStr CoSellin Space – The Real Secrets to Happy Customers & to Making More Money.
Here’s my write-up on the event and what I learned.
The short of it? Be really, really customer-focused. Duh, right? But seriously, this has to be a #1 priority for you as a startup. I remember our early days at Blend Labs when our CEO and I were putting together PowerPoint slides and Excel spreadsheets for a mid-level manager that constantly complained that we weren’t doing our jobs. It was hazing, plain and simple. But dammit, we gritted our teeth and did it.
