Pilot Programs Enable You to Prove Success
“Think about a new show on TV – the television network won’t know how the audience will respond until the show is viewed. They surely have a hypothesis, and for their target viewer, they have certain expectations and metrics they use to determine if the pilot is successful. This is the same reason you need to run pilots with your products.
By running a pilot with your customers, it allows you to accumulate the data that you and the customer need to prove success. Until you get your product up and running, everything you’ve told the customers and everything they believe about your product are hypothetical.
When you establish a pilot program with clear metrics and measurable outcomes, you’ll be able to show your customers how your product works and how you’ll help them achieve the end outcome that they need to solve the critical business issue at hand.”
